Leatherneck Hardware Inc. | Moger Mehrhof Architects Wowed Us!

The spectacular Bragg Hill residence, the inspired work of moger mehrohof architects, is located in the rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

The 6,000 square feet ICF (insulated concrete framework) residence, clad in cypress and corrugate metal, was the ideal setting for our Flat Track line, according to Matthew Moger, principal at moger mehrhof.

The team used our sliding door hardware on three levels of the house. In the lower level partition, the hardware was used between the stair tower and the media room.

On the second level, the sliding door and hardware separate the stair tower and the main living area.

The most creative use was saved for the third level. Not only was it used for third floor bedrooms, but it was also used to create a sliding master vanity mirror.

“We chose the hardware because of the large openings and because it creates more flexible and subtle room transitions,” says Moger. “We were familiar with the product and had used it previously for a private residence on Nantucket. We find the hardware to be straight forward and durable, timeless and referential.”

Moger adds that mounting the track on a solid surface, either solid wood or painted plywood will provide the best results.

Congratulations to the home owners and the entire moger mehrhof team. Well done!
